Paving Contractor FAQs

How long does an asphalt road stay in good condition?

If you choose the right paving company, your asphalt road can last for 15 years. With proper maintenance, you can increase your road’s life by 7-10 years. Get in touch with us today to learn more about our maintenance plans.

What maintenance is required to prolong the life of a parking lot?

There are several things you can do to extend the life of your parking lot, such as:

  • Sweeping
  • Clearing drains
  • Removing oil and gas leaks
  • Filling in the cracks
  • Sealing the cracks
  • Sealcoating

To know which is best for you, contact one of our team members.

What is the difference between sealcoating and resurfacing?

The difference between sealcoating and resurfacing is that sealcoating is a preventative service, and resurfacing is for correcting damages. Sealcoating creates a protective layer on your existing surface that lasts for 2-3 years. Resurfacing creates a whole new layer of asphalt on your surface, making it look brand new.

Unsure of which one is best for you? Get in touch with one of our paving specialists now!

Can paving be done in all weather conditions?

No. Surfaces must be dry and unfrozen to be paved properly, however, the ideal temperature is 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21 degrees Celsius). Luckily, we can pave most of the year if the weather permits. We can help you choose a time that will work best for you. Contact us now to schedule a consultation.

Will the parking lot look aesthetically pleasing?

When well-maintained, a parking lot can increase accessibility and appeal to a location. Contact us now to learn more about our paving services.

Do I have to sealcoat my driveway every year?

It is recommended to sealcoat a driveway every 4-5 years, though it varies depending on the weather and frequency of use. To make sure that you are sealcoating your driveway frequently enough, call us now. One of our professional driveway specialists can carry out a proper assessment of your driveway and recommend a time for your next sealcoat.

How long does it take asphalt and concrete to cure?

It can take up to 7 days for concrete to be ready for use but can take 28 to be fully settled. For asphalt, we recommend waiting 1-3 days before using it, but it can take up to 12 months to be fully cured. Our experts use the latest techniques and supplies to ensure that your concrete and asphalt surfaces will be ready for use in no time.

My asphalt has some potholes. Should I repair these or wait to redo the entire driveway?
